Kyle decides that he and Jessi cannot return until the conflict with MADACORP is resolved. Emily releases Foss claiming that she feels guilty for invading the Trager's lives, and for manipulating Jessi. Foss then calls Kyle and tells him to go somewhere, that Kyle "has everything he needs". Ballantine berates Emily for releasing Foss, but she claims she thought he would lead them straight to Kyle and Jessi.

Kyle finds a small pinhole in the back of Baylin's ring that displays a map when light is shone through it. He and Jessi follow the map and find the diner where the picture of Baylin and the mystery girl was taken. Kyle notices that there is a postcard stand with the exact same postcard that he sent to himself in a previous episode; he also notices a fish bowl with goldfish in it. Kyle clearly has feelings that he might have been their before or that he knows that there is some special connection to his and Jessi's past. The owner is old and senile, according to his daughter, but he clearly remembers Baylin and the girl. He says that they were in love and such a happy couple and that they would always play the song "She Could Be You" on the jukebox, that it was their song. Kyle and Jessi try to play the song but notice that the record is missing. They decide to sit at a table and figure out how to get to route 12. They discover from the owners daughter that the route had been washed out years ago and that they should be careful up there. Jessi contemplates leaving because she is afraid she will betray Kyle after seeing into Kyle's mind when he has a daydream of kissing Amanda. The two realize that they can see into each others minds without touching. Kyle convinces her to stay and that he trusts her after he notices "A & S Forever.’82" carved into the table they are seated at. (wikipedia.org)
